Help with early education and childcare costs for 2, 3 or 4 year olds

All parents and carers of 3 and 4 year old children are able to claim up to 570 hours of education and childcare support from the 1st full school term after their 3rd birthday. Some parents and carers may also be eligible to claim up to an additional 570 hours a year (split over 3 funding blocks) – known as 30 hours.

Some parents and carers of 2 year old children may also be eligible to claim funded childcare or early education. For more information visit Northamptonshire County Council’s website. If you are not eligible for free funding you can still apply for a place with Busy Bees and pay privately for this.

Our fees policy

The fees for non-funded hours are £5.50 per hour, payable half-termly in advance and within 7 days of receipt of invoice. Fees must still be paid if children are absent for a short period of time including holidays and sickness when your child normally attends. If your child has to be absent over a long period of time we are happy to discuss fees. In the event that the pre-school has to close you will be reimbursed fees paid for any missed days. There are no charges for bank holidays. A donation is requested of £1 per day towards snack/consumables, when you are in receipt of funded hours. This is to be paid monthly.

Concessions – reduced fees are available for parents who have two or more children attending Busy Bees at the same time. A 15% reduction is charged for subsequent children attending and is applicable until the eldest is eligible for a free place, then full fees will be payable for the youngest.

In order to add your child to our waiting list there is a non-refundable registration fee of £25.00 which needs to be paid on application and guarantees your child a place, the start date depending on availability.

Fees are subject to change and will be reviewed each year.

Please see our charging policy for more information.
